Giovanna Barreira Cain is an immigration attorney with a global mindset and a personal understanding of the immigration journey. A native of Brazil and an immigrant herself, Giovanna brings over a decade of legal experience to her U.S. immigration practice—combining deep legal knowledge with empathy and strategic insight.

She holds an LL.M. in Comparative Law from Louisiana State University and is a licensed attorney in both Louisiana and Brazil. Her academic excellence was recognized with the A.N. Yiannopoulos Scholarship at LSU, where she also served as a Research Assistant in Business Law and later as Manager of the Journal of Civil Law Studies.

Giovanna began her legal career in Brazil, specializing in international trade, business, and immigration law. After nearly three years advising cross-border clients, she transitioned to the U.S. to expand her expertise in American law. Her experience spans from federal litigation to transactional matters for multinational clients—always with a focus on building legal bridges across borders.
